About KDASS

Kirklees Domestic Abuse Specialist Services (KDASS) is a collaborative partnership dedicated to delivering safe, effective, and person-centred support to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse across Kirklees. Bringing together specialist organisations, statutory agencies, and community partners, KDASS works as a coordinated system to ensure victims and survivors receive the right support at the right time.

The KDASS Single Point of Access offers one safe, confidential route into domestic abuse support across Kirklees. Whether you’re seeking help for yourself or worried about someone else, you can contact us once and be connected to the service that best meets your needs.
Trained practitioners listen, believe you, and work with you to understand your situation, explore your options, and get you to the right support, when you need it.

Our approach

KDASS is committed to supporting all people affected by domestic abuse across every intersectional identity. We understand that experiences of abuse are shaped by factors such as race, gender, sexuality, ability, class, and culture, and we strive to provide support that reflects these diverse realities. We recognise and respond to the specific needs of LGBTQ+ individuals by offering affirming, safe, and confidential services that honour their identities and experiences.

 

At KDASS, our work is grounded in empathy, cultural humility, and a strong commitment to equity, ensuring that every survivor feels heard, respected, and empowered throughout their journey to safety and healing.

WomenCentre

WomenCentre provide person lead, holistic support to women who have experienced harm caused by domestic abuse.

RASAC

RASAC provide counselling services to people impacted by domestic abuse.

Support for Men

Our domestic abuse support service offers confidential, non judgemental support to any man experiencing physical, emotional, psychological, sexual, or financial abuse.

Connect - Independent Domestic Violence Advocacy (IDVA)

Connect IDVAs provides specialist, trauma informed support to people at high risk of serious harm from domestic abuse. The service focuses on safety, empowerment, and helping individuals navigate complex systems during some of the most challenging moments in their lives.
